Whip Up a Healthier, Dairy-Free PSL at Home With This Easy 6-Ingredient Recipe

Fitness

We are all about enjoying the nostalgic Starbucks PSL in the fall, but if you don’t want to sip down 390 calories and 50 grams of sugar, it’s easy to whip up a healthier version at home. Plus, even if you order a PSL from Starbucks with dairy-free milk and no whipped cream, it’s still not vegan. This recipe from vgnbites_ is made with just five ingredients (six if you go for the dairy-free whipped cream on top). Here’s what you’ll need:

Healthier Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • 1 cup plant-based milk of choice⁣
  • 2/3 cup brewed coffee⁣
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup⁣
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree⁣
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice⁣

Just whisk all the ingredients together in a small pot over medium heat for a couple minutes, pour it into your favorite fall mug, and top with coconut or almond milk whipped cream (optional, but recommended!). Enjoy sipping your homemade treat cozied up on the couch under a blanket with a book. Your warm drink will taste perfectly spiced and sweet enough, with just over 13 grams of added sugar.
