In this video, I want to talk about juicing on a ketogenic diet.

There are two types of things that people juice: fruits and vegetables. Now, fruit juice is too high in sugar because you remove the fiber. Fiber buffers the insulin response. In turn, this can contribute to high insulin and insulin resistance.

You can juice vegetables, but it’s difficult to consume without the fruit juice. If you can do this, then vegetable juice is fine on a keto diet.

It’s best to consume the whole vegetable because you are also consuming the fiber. Overall, blending is much better than juicing since the vegetable fiber remains. Try making a shake with berries and fresh vegetables.

Never buy juice. Store-bought juice is pasteurized, which kills off the enzymes nullifying the benefits.

Using the wheatgrass juice powder is a great keto option. It contains healthy nutrients with only one gram of carbohydrates. On a keto diet, you’re allowed 20-50 grams of carbs, so this won’t put you over your daily carb count. It also contains stevia, which is a fantastic natural sweetener. Give it a try.
